There are plans to bring the walled garden back in to production using "tried and tested" methods. Restoration and replanting will take place with a part devoted to plants grown from the historic seed collection library of the Henry Doubleday Association. There will also be sections for cut flowers and decorative beds of vegetables in potager style. Herbs are also to be given a place in a holistic section in the lower walled garden with the focus on those plants with a medicinal value plus they hope to run a herbal workshop course. The estate does have a problem with rabbits and peacocks / peahens which means that they will have to use netting to keep them out.
